The Defender 90 has a special six-seater configuration and is powered by a turbocharged two-liter engine. It is currently available with COE for $304,999.
The Defender 90 is a three-door version of the Defender 110, which is a five-door vehicle. It’s 4600mm long, compared to 5018mm for the 110. The rear suspension of the Defender 90, however, is 2587mm instead of 3022mm.
The Defender 90 is similar to its larger counterpart, except for several of its shorter size and lesser frames.
The Defender 90 has a front-row center seat (jump seat) that can handle an extra passenger for added flexibility.
The jump seat, which was conceived and built as an occasional seat, allows the Defender 90 to seat six people while having a body the size of a small hatchback.
When not using it, the side seat can be tucked to rest the arm with a set of beverage cup organizer.
The new Defender 90 comes with a variety of storage options, including high and low center consoles.
A turbocharged two-liter four-cylinder engine produces 296hp (300PS) and 400Nm in the Defender 90. The off-roader completes the century sprint in eight seconds when paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
There are also USB ports strewn around the cabin, matrix LED headlights, and a Meridian hi-fi system with 400-watt output.
The new car has been completely redesigned to retain the classic two-box configuration while still becoming a fully modern SUV. This means that the existing Defender’s solid axles were substituted with truly independent stability with up to 500mm of the extrinsic pathway at each rim.
The new Defender has been reported to be the most outfitted vehicle in the Land Rover lineup, with customers being able to customize their vehicles to suit their lifestyle goals.
The Defender, on paper, appears to have a long list of off-road skills. There’s an optional locking rear differential, as well as customizable air suspension, in addition to the all-wheel drive and a high/low range automatic transmission.
Ground clearance is 291mm, with a 38-degree approach, 28-degree break over, and 40-degree departure angles, and a maximum wading depth of 900mm for off-road nuts. There’s also the new Terrain Response 2 system, which guides you through the vast majority of conditions and can be customized to suit your needs – there’s even a feature for sifting through the water.
There’s also a plug-in hybrid version, but it’s only available on an indent basis, much like the six-cylinder.
